Opening Event

It’s wild in Kalk Bay over the month of January when Cape Town artist Marc Alexander hangs his latest series of wildlife oil paintings titled ‘In The Balance’. Presented by THE STUDIO Kalk Bay, this exhibition showcases the magnificence of some critically endangered animals, such as the Siberian Tiger, Sumatran Orangutan, Hawksbill Turtle, Black Rhino and Riverine Rabbit, to mention a few, superbly painted in Alexander’s hyper-realistic style.

Please join us for a glass of wine and canepes on Thursday 1 January at 6:30pm, in celebration of this evocative exhibiton.

The artist will be at the gallery daily demonstrating his painting technique and informing about the plight of his fragile subject matter. The exhibition will run until Saturday 31 January 2015.
